If you tell a phone solicitor from a nonprofit group that you're on the No-Call List, they'll immediately respond that they're not subject to the No-Call List.

They don't get it, do they? I mean, they really, really don't get it.

Also, the next time one of them calls and brightly announces "This is [first name]," I should immediately respond as if they're the person I know best by that name, even though I can obviously tell they're not that person, and drown them in a lot of personal questions, pretend not to understand their expostulations, and finally get very put out and accuse them of impersonating that person.

Yeah, that might be icky. I'd hang up on them, and donate where I know that the money will actually go to research, and not 99% to "overhead"
