calimacTuesday I went out to a convenient town, a few miles away, to check out some Italian restaurants for an upcoming special dinner. What kind of seating do they have, outdoors or (in a couple cases) indoors? Is the outdoor seating shaded? Is there traffic passing immediately by? How big are the tables? That sort of thing that's best checked in person.
Wednesday I judged that, virus transmission hereabouts having receded to a dull roar, it was safe to go back to the east side, where the disease had been at its most virulent, to the little shop that makes and sells the most authentic local tamales, to bring some home for dinner.
