Classical music listeners, this will either delight and amuse you, or horrify and offend you.

Count me among the delighted and amused.

Not only am I delighted and amused, but I will send it to my brother Geoff, since we compete in sending each other such links. I sent him Apocalyptica's "Hall of the Mountain King" and Salon Salut's "Summer" battle recently.

I've heard that in several cartoons over the years.

Interesting, and not really bothered by it, but it didn't swing.

Playing the same piece, from San Francisco, Pollo Del Mar.

Playing a different well-known showoff piece, from Tokyo, The Surf Coasters.

Huh. Is there something that ELP and ELO have in common with each other, that also applies to Pollo Del Mar and Shigeo Naka of the Surf Coasters? I can come up with things that are less than great about each of them, but they are different things. Except Shigeo Naka is pure greatness. Completely showoff virtuoso musicianship is great regardless of the instrument or genre, and "Bumblebee" is all about showing off.
