I confess feeling somewhat at sea when confronted with a vast slate of news articles on the sudden and untimely death of some apparently famous person whom I'd never heard of.
It is understandable. "That Person" was a sports star. If you are like me and don't follow athletic stuff I can see how you would not know and would not care. While I am sure that he was a good man and a loving father, It doesn't affect our lives.
While it is good to be informed what is presented as news on television rarely affects our lives. At lot of stories on the evening news I read two days before on the internet. The news people like "Good News" stories so they never tell us about major events around the world that might affect our lives until they are too big to ignore.
Perhaps we should be more interested but it is difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff when it come to the news. It is all very disconcerting.
