phone calls

Now that my mother is no longer around to phone me and ask for help with her computer, most of the phone calls I receive go like one of these:

1) Cheerful recorded voice: "This is the Kaiser Permanente mail-order pharmacy! An order that you recently placed has been mailed to your address!"

2) "This is your wife. Come downstairs and help me bring in the groceries."

3) Me: "Hello?"
Long pause.
Sound of phone ringing, as if I were making the call.
Voice: "Hello?"
Me: "Hello?"
Voice: "Hello?"
Me: Hangs up.
