tiring day

calimacTiring yesterday, too, what with packing, plane flight, rental car, finding my hotel in the middle of ghodforsaken industrial nowhere, and then finding somewhere decent to eat at too late in the evening.
Today: Gift supply shop. Bank, for ATM and a roll of quarters. Impulsive drop-by at woodworking shop next to the bank, for a little comparison shopping. Two libraries, for photocopies (hence quarters) of selected pages from hard-to-find books. Time for lunch, had at famous market, followed by a little (a little too much) shopping. Fresh cherries for breakfast tomorrow. And something to take home for B. that she will really like.
Back to hotel, to put away perishables, a little resting up, and change of clothes, then back out again for wedding. Small, but small venue = crowded. Some long overdue greetings. Moving ceremony. Many nice things were said, some even by one who was not there. More food than we could eat, so encouraged to take some home = more breakfast, or something. Long trudge back to car after back door into already far enough away parking garage proved to be locked by now. Then, highly roundabout detour to escape unexplained traffic jam on freeway. Now: back at hotel, sleepy.
