[livejournal.com profile] kip_w: That's where I was looking. The problem is that LJ has changed what "my style" is.

[livejournal.com profile] irontongue et al: Thanks, but I already have a DW account. Have you noticed that I never use it?

[livejournal.com profile] anderyn: It didn't work. I asked musesfool (whose account has been reverted to the old comment style) for help, but s/he wasn't able to help.

I've just come back after an effective absence (as far as commenting is concerned) of 48 hours, and I'm horrified! There seems to be no way to preview entries and thus fix html botches, and no subject line, and - and -

But half my flist still have the old style, for no obvious reason.

If you ever do find out how to fix it, please tell.

It was the first I'd heard of the new comment setup, so I hadn't gotten into it very deeply yet. Now I've spent some time rooting around, and I tried changing to S1 and then to S2. No improvement.

I don't want to quit LJ. I don't want to go to DW (I have an account too), or back to Facebook.

I think the problem will not be sorted out until the hosts pay heed to all the complaints they're getting and restore the functionality.

My paid user account still seems to be using the old style, for what that's worth to you.

I did not know you have a Dreamwidth account, hence my suggestion. I was trying to say and will state explicitly: the changes to the LJ commenting system might be enough of a reason for you to switch over and just post a pointer here to your DW account. Or maybe not.

I will say that I have found browser updates utterly painless, at least for Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, on both of the OSs I use. I am on the most recent versions of each of those browsers.
