During the downtime - I spent about two days trying to make a post, letting the browser grind away for hours while I was out, retrying it frequently when I was home - I eventually decided that, much as I like being here, I needed a stable platform. So I've started a new blog at kalimac.blogspot.com (note the alternative, and actually preferred, spelling of "kalimac" - it wasn't available when I came to LJ), and that's where I expect to be posting first from now on. It'll make life easier for my readers who aren't LJ members, I know that for sure. Why I went there, and not to the Dark Sauronic Realm of Facebook, is explained here.

No reason, though, as long as LJ cooperates, I can't copy the posts here. So the two general posts I've made in the interim follow. Er, precede, if you're reading down the screen.

Update: Well, no they won't, because the posting function is acting up again, though at least I can still edit this post. Yep, it was a good idea I moved. See you over there, I hope.

Yeah, the denial of service this last week has just been bad and sad, because I've really liked Live Journal. But I too am in process of moving things to other blogs: the primary one will be on my ScribblerWorks site, with some things about writing on the Scribbler's Guide to Myth blog.

I'll either post notices here on LJ or copy posts.

And I shall be bookmarking your blogspot one. :D
