Spike is immediate past president of fwa, in a narrow win over John D. Berry.
Next year is Corflu Glitter in Vegas. Joyce promises it will be anywhere but the Plaza.
Carrie's GoH speech was an illustrated travelogue of her and Andy's sightseeing of natural and manmade wonders after ... wait for it ... the previous Vegas Corflu.
FAAn awards were imitations of Drake's brass plate, hand-pounded with inscriptions by Tom B. Winners: artist, Steve Stiles; Harry Warner Jr. memorial correspondence, Robert Lichtman; fanzine, Trap Door; web site, efanzines; writer, Roy Kettle; life achievement, Art Widner. Lichtman (twice), Bill Burns, and the Wonderful Beard accepted in person.
Adjourned to the con suite for the scarfing of the last snacks, the disposal of the badges, the muchness of the conversations, and the intimations of dinner.
