Corflu, Friday

I knew this was Corflu, because when I arrived, almost everyone was in the bar. Small and crowded though it was.

The local guide I compiled looked good. Credit to vgqn who laid it out and spikeiowa who printed it.

I took assorted and semi-Canadians to the nearest Thai restaurant for an assorted and semi dinner.

Carrie Root is the Guest of Honor. She had to wear the hat. And the shirt.

Chris made us all take the pledge to be members of the Order of E Corflu Vitus. I thought we were already all members of the Fan Writers of America.

Someone was holding up a small blue card which apparently was broadcasting us to the Internet.

Hildifons Took told me of his namesake whom Nathaniel Hawthorne wrote about.

I now have copies of Banana Wings, Littlebrook, something called Random Jottings, the Tolkien Fandom Review 1965, and the very spiffy-looking new book edition of Who Killed Science Fiction?, The Book That Made Them Revise The Fanzine Hugo Rules.
