calimac: (puzzle)

For the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to say much of anything most of the time. Laryngitis, descending from bronchitis. The malady is over, but the cough lingers on, and that fuels the continuing speechlessness. Some of the time I can get something out, gravelly, but sometimes not. Tiresome, but at least it keeps me off the phone.

Next weekend I'm on eight panels at a science fiction convention - I'm not quite sure how it turned out to be so many, but at least they're all interesting - so I hope I'm able to say something by then. We'll see.

Eight? Do you owe them money?

Sympathies! I'm prone to laryngitis too. Drink warm non-caffeine tea w/honey, that's what the ear/nose/throat doctor told me. I can provide some tomorrow if you like. Choice of flavors even.

I hope your voice is back soon! I'm sure being married to a singer you probably know all the "tricks," such as they are. I like to keep a thermos of throat coat tea with a bit of honey on hand if I've got to sing (or do much talking) and am not entirely recovered from a cold.
