a Christmas quiz
Dec. 25th, 2009 06:27 amIf Jon Carroll's quiz is too tough this year, have fun identifying the films in this, the best "clips from a hundred movies" collage I've ever seen. It's a bit over 9 minutes long, so that's an average of about 5 1/2 seconds per film. Ready?
What I found most pleasurable about watching this, besides the hypnotizing conceit on which it was assembled, was how many of the films I did recognize, and with pleasure. I've seen exactly half of these - a huge hit rate for me as film citations go - and in each case the clip was enough to pin it: mostly through remembering the scene, sometimes through the clue of who was on screen and what they were saying. Only a couple of them I didn't much like, and a full half-dozen are among my all-time favorite movies. And it was often easy enough, too, to recognize the actor in films I hadn't seen. How'd you do?
