Another thing I don't collect is boxes. My brother and I crushed well over a hundred cubic feet of empty boxes from my mother's storage locker yesterday, including the boxes that a computer she got rid of years ago came in. Today I'm hauling them off to the great cardboard recycle bin in the sky.

In other news, a mailing list I belong to was graced with the lofty pronouncement that "Life is too short to take things so personally or, even if they're intended personally, to dwell on them."

I do wonder why a person would take the time to tell us that it's not worth taking the time to dwell on the things that he's taking the time to tell us that it's not worth taking the time to dwell on.

Lastly, here's my review, published on Monday, actually, of a concert that vgqn sang in, as a newly minted member of the SSV Chorale. More on this later, after the other two (!) reviews I wrote last weekend get published.
