I started out intrigued by the latest list of 100 greatest films, because it's interestingly subdivided into ten films in each of ten genres. But my mental footsteps started getting gummy with some of the choices (sports films: there are only two of those I really liked, and Breaking Away is on the list, so why not A League of Their Own?) and then in the fantasy section I got stuck. I really doubt that Peter Ustinov starred in The Thief of Bagdad in 1924. He would have been three years old. I think they took their still from a 1978 TV movie.

Of course I don't mind following a list of ten great fantasy films with a list of ten great animated films all of which happen to be fantasies.
