How do you think church musicians feel? I dressed in purple yesterday morning to play Advent music at 11:00 Mass. As soon as Mass was over, the decoration committee brought in the poinsettias which had been outside, waiting to be brought in. (They also had to remove all the purple color in the church, take out the humongous Advent wreath, and put the baby in the manger, hang a zillion stars all over the church, and put lights in the trees outside the church.) As you know, I went home, had lunch and a little down time, then dressed in a different outfit to play Christmas music for the 5:00 vigil Mass.
