They're here. That's fast, guys.

I remember the days when a casual fan could wait for weeks to hear the Hugo winners from Worldcons, especially foreign Worldcons, that one didn't attend. This is much better. Living in the future can be such fun sometimes.

Special sqeee!s of delight to [livejournal.com profile] pnh, the first ever Best Editor Long Form (and long deserved); to [livejournal.com profile] gerisullivan and [livejournal.com profile] fringefaan and everyone who's helped out with SFFY, Best Fanzine (and someone put a flower on Lee Hoffman's grave, please); and to Julie Phillips, whose astonishing Tiptree bio deserves a Pulitzer for Biography as well as all the honor we fans can give it.

I'm embarrasingly unfamiliar with the fiction categories, though I am familiar with some of the authors; but I've seen four of the five DP Long Form nominees, and if A Scanner Darkly couldn't get it, Pan's Labyrinth was an excellent choice.

I agree with you about the Tiptree bio, it's a great book. It would be wonderful if it won a Pulitzer for Biography.

I think A Scanner Darkly was a better movie than Pan's Labyrinth.
