Mrs. Lovett: what a charming notion
Jun. 18th, 2023 12:48 amThe function on YouTube that displays lists of other videos that it thinks you might like to watch had two performances of "A Little Priest," the comic cannibalism song from Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Intrigued particularly by the variations in how the performers treated the character of Mrs. Lovett, I went in search for some more, and here they are.
I doubt anybody will want to sit through all of them, but the variations intrigue me, as does the sheer quality. Watch some of the ones I listed as unknowns: they're really good.
