Today is the actual 400th anniversary of the day that the head of the Virginia Company expedition pointed to a particular wet spot on the estuary bank and said "We build our settlement here." Not the first attempt by Europeans, or even the English specifically, to settle on that coast, Jamestown was the one that lasted, and was the beginning of continuous settlement in the first of what became the 13 British colonies of fame, story, and a certain Broadway musical.

In honor of this noteworthy anniverary, effective today the U.S. Postal Service has raised its rates again, and here is a handy chart to inform you how much you'll be paying for first class postage up to various weights. (The break at 3.5 ounces is due to nominal "first-class" cutting off then, with its equivalents at higher weights taking different names.) Break out the two-centers you saved from the last time the rates went up.
