He's been active on www.theonering.net, where he goes by the name Quickbeam. (His collected essays are here. We met at Mythcon four years ago, where we both served on a "what will Peter Jackson's Tolkien films be like?" panel. We disagreed on a lot of this, but I've been impressed with the writing of him and his fellows on Tolkien. They know what they're talking about, and as so many amateur Tolkienists don't, that's a high compliment.
