day report
May. 11th, 2014 02:48 pmSunday is a good day for B. and me to take a more elaborate walk than the usual quick trip down to our local park and creek to look for ducks and lizards. So we drove to a park in a canyon in the hills that I had passed by but never visited. It has a pleasant paved trail, much of it shaded, along a creek in the canyon, which, amidst characteristic local scenery - oaks, sycamores - passes by a community garden, a 4H barn with bleating goats and sheep, and a club area with pool, cafe, picnic area, and golf course, before abruptly and unexpectedly terminating with an under-construction, do-not-enter sign. We turned around and went back, and that was about long enough. Every time we passed a woman with children, B. wished her happy Mother's Day. We stopped at a farmer's market on the way home and found early cherries.
Now occupying time at home, watching, on DVD, two episodes at a gulp of the first season of Orphan Black, a Canadian SF/detective show of which we'd heard good things. Further reaction when we finish, but so far I'm thinking mostly that this is what I had been unsuccessfully hoping that Ringer would be more like, and with better acting.
