--Well, I certainly agree with you on this point. Trailers are there for people to judge movies by; that's their entire purpose. There are many movies I've decided not to see because of the trailer: if they can't string together thirty seconds of material worth watching out of a ninety-minute movie, I'm not likely to like the eighty-nine and a half minutes' worth they don't put into the trailer. And occasionally a trailer will catch my attention and makes a movie I didn't know about look interesting. On occasions a trailer is deeply misleading, but on the whole they're a glimpse of what the movie will be like.

In this case, if you don't like the trailer (and it seems pretty clear that you don't), I think you'd be better off not seeing the movie.
