As you were sitting next to me in the Hugos, you saw my reaction to the Willis win. I adore Connie Willis and think very highly of several of her books. This was not one of her best, and its Hugo win was a travesty. Seanan McGuire should have won it. N.K. Jemison's book was much better than the Willis, too.
I was underwhelmed by Lake and Scholes as hosts. The writing wasn't very good and the delivery was very stilted.
