Here's someone saying that, while there are plenty of Christmas carols and winter songs, there are fewer Easter songs and surprisingly few cheerful spring songs. Well, I can think of a few.

1. When the medieval/renaissance/folk band Broceliande made their set of four seasonal song collections, they had no more trouble filling up their spring album with cheerful music as any of the others. In fact, I think they did that one first.

2. You may have forgotten this, but The Hallelujah Chorus, one of the most famous vocal compositions ever written, and certainly cheerful enough, is an Easter hymn.

3. And for the most cheerful of songs, may I nominate the one that begins like this:
Spring is here, ah spring is here
Life is skittles and life is beer
I think the loveliest time of the year
Is the spring. I do. Don't you? 'course you do.
And if, from that, you can't sing the rest of the song, your education has been insufficient.
