Yes, the coin design is rather weak. But it is a small island that has been a colonial appendage of Spain and the US, not much has happened there. The 'goblets' are stone-pillars ('Latte stones') are believed to have held up wooden structures. The football-shape of the Guam seal on the territory's flag is a sling-stone, a traditional Chamorro weapon.. At 212 sq. miles Guam is the largest island in Micronesia. The principal driving forces of the economy are the US military and Japanese tourism. There is a fairly large Guamanian expatriate population in Los Angeles, I remember it being about 20,000 in the '70s, probably larger now.
