congratulations hugowinners
Sep. 1st, 2007 09:24 amThey're here. That's fast, guys.
I remember the days when a casual fan could wait for weeks to hear the Hugo winners from Worldcons, especially foreign Worldcons, that one didn't attend. This is much better. Living in the future can be such fun sometimes.
Special sqeee!s of delight to
pnh, the first ever Best Editor Long Form (and long deserved); to
gerisullivan and
fringefaan and everyone who's helped out with SFFY, Best Fanzine (and someone put a flower on Lee Hoffman's grave, please); and to Julie Phillips, whose astonishing Tiptree bio deserves a Pulitzer for Biography as well as all the honor we fans can give it.
I'm embarrasingly unfamiliar with the fiction categories, though I am familiar with some of the authors; but I've seen four of the five DP Long Form nominees, and if A Scanner Darkly couldn't get it, Pan's Labyrinth was an excellent choice.
