The Mythopoeic Society currently lacks a webmaster, someone who can write complex things like PayPal buttons, so I spent some time yesterday morning creating a simple, flat, quick & dirty web page for next year's Mythcon. Plain, but it has the information, and getting the info on the web is the important thing.

Then I phoned Davey, Ellen and Delia's assistant, to let her know it was up in time for Wiscon, where they all will be. Good, she said, Wiscon is about the most wired convention around. Yes, I replied; I'm a friend of [livejournal.com profile] whumpdotcom, so I know something about that.

In the e-mail this morning, an important message from Amazon.co.uk. I bought from them, two or three years ago now, a single-volume compiled index to the History of Middle-earth series. This index was only ever published in the UK; it's a convenient addition for those of us doing much research in that mighty set. Well, now Amazon wants me to know that I may purchase the entire series itself from them. Wouldn't it have occurred to them that someone who bought the index already owned the volumes they're an index to? Apparently not.
