I put Traffic on my library reserve list after reading the NYT review that made it sound interesting. After hearing the author on KGO and reading your review, I'm thinking of just dropping it. Is this guy the anti-John McPhee? McPhee being the guy who can take boring subjects (Oranges? I-80?) and make them interesting.
