Well, you could be surprised. For instance, Frozen has a handsome prince, but that one sure doesn't end up the way the stereotype would suggest. I think it would have been enough to just suggest a little physical affection between Raya and Namaari at the end, like arms around each other's shoulders (not hugging: that's different). Then viewers could read it as they liked.
