I've read plenty on variants that are more highly contagious and more deadly once contracted, and some of which are somewhat less responsive to the vaccine, originating from around the world. But nothing about any which are immune to or unaffected by the vaccine, which is the topic concerning the writer I'm responding to. Such variants do not yet exist. But they might arise, likelihood of it happening unknown. And they could arise anywhere, but the greater the transmission of the virus, the greater the chances of it happening. And right now, that chance is much the highest in India.
