I'm veggie but there seems to be a real problem since the rising popularity of 'vegan' as a cool thing for young people- they seem to want everything to be a copy of 'the real thing' which a general purpose lacto vegetarian simply wouldn't bother with.
It means a lot of young 'vegans' eat more junk food that their omnivore contemporaries.
