Halloween music

You know the Danse macabre by Camille Saint-Saƫns? Spooky music for orchestra with a prominent solo violin part?

How about scratching the soloist and filling the work up with (more) xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, and orchestral bells? This is a wild arrangement, and perfect for the season.

I've loved this piece since hearing it in 2nd grade music class (though somewhat spoilt by the teacher singing along with the main theme, "This is Danse Macarb, hear the fiddle tuning)". At least he didn't pronounce it "McBare" the way Stephen King and his friends did.
