Regarding internet mapping services- That's one I'd never fall into, since I've gotten directions twice that left out big chunks of the directions (such as "get on 24 and then make a right onto 101", for the locals).

Also, they don't know where I live, and refuse to accept corrections; as well as showing a road through not 200 yards from here that's not possible for an automobile.

But, this doesn't seem to actually been a factor in the Kim's case.
