Interesting. My first Asimov was Fantastic Voyage, which barely counts as an Asimov book. My introduction to Asimov proper was Nightfall, and Other Stories, with its very personal introductions to the stories that contributed to my growing awareness that books were written by people. I've been up and down on him over the years, and have to say that his attitude toward women (real women, not the ones in books) was far more offensive than Heinlein's.
