In my very high church Anglo-Catholic parish we affirm and support all members of the LGBTQ community. Which is odd in the Anglo-Catholic strain of Anglicanism because worldwide that tends to be the socially conservative branch but in Canada it is different, and especially in my little corner of the world. I've not had much interaction with Islam as well, but from what I have gathered it is similar to what we see in Judeo-Christianity with some leaders embracing support and others galvanizing themselves in so-called tradition.

I left the Roman Catholic Church because I could no longer be a member of a church that was not aligned with my own conscience. I am always full of joy when I read of faith communities who are supportive of LGBTQ people similar to what I found in my Anglo-Catholic parish from other people. In my conscience, and the conscience of many people, there is no conflict between what two consenting adults do in private within a loving relationship and the profession of faith. :-)
