I leave it to any Miltonians reading this as to how worthwhile it is, as I've never tried reading the Lewis book myself
I'm no Miltonian, but it was still on my reading list when I was battling through PL at St Andrews in the early 2000s, which says something. (It's certainly very readable and entertaining. Rather more so than Milton....)
