As Richard Nixon nearly said, "I am not a cook." Still, when Carole moved in, I do most of the meal preparation. Except for the chopping part, it's kind of fun. Suits my hands-on style of goal orientation. I've never baked anything. To do all that work and not look at it for an hour (or however long) would drive me crazy. I must learn patience. Or something.

In the meantime, I'm having fun experimenting. No added salt, though sometimes ingredients have salt. My base: Ginger, garlic and cilantro (though more recently I've found that ginger works really well with dill, and will sometimes use that instead of cilantro). The few times anyone else has sampled my cooking have been encouraging, but not so much that I'm going to host dinner parties soon.
