I'd see van Ronk infrequently, at the Winnipeg Folk Festival or his GoH stint at Minicon. But he's my favorite male vocalist (vs. male singer) and I wish more of his records were on CD. Admittedly, it's been a while since I checked.
I had to stop reading the article due to potential spoilers. I know some of his history on Greenwich Village. One of my favorite panels at Minicon was "Greenwich Village Memories" with Jane Yolen, Dave van Ronk, and me. It was my best job as panel moderator. I turned to Jane and prompted, "So tell me about Greenwich Village" and didn't say another word for 45 minutes as she, then Dave, told story after story.

The movie better be good.
