If it's someone whose music and attitudes toward public performance I dislike, I'll simply not bother attending (yes, Harrison Birtwhistle, I'm talking to you) but if it's someone whose music I enjoy, like Peter Maxwell Davies or Mark Anthony Turnage, I object to people's behaviour making it clear to me that I shouldn't.
