I don't use Opera because I could not find a way to get rid of the giant toolbars at the top, and I don't like an interface that takes up so much of the screen. The LJ post button problem is weird and makes me wonder if it's a Flash problem. Chrome automatically enables and installs Flash; the other browsers do not.

Maybe you can try the current version of Firefox on someone else's computer to see whether it'll work for you.

As for reopening tabs, when you close Chrome, close the whole thing by quitting, with all tabs still open. When you next start it, open a new tab. At the lower-right-hand corner of the window, click Recently Closed. You should see something like:

10 tabs

Click that and the browser will reopen the tabs that were open when you closed Chrome.

Alternatively, under the History menu there is a section for Recently Closed tabs, and you would also see "10 tabs" there.

My personal method when I just want to switch between two tabs in Chrome is to put them in separate windows and switch between those.
