The most obvious composer who has written a famous Symphony #7 is, of course, Beethoven -- that work usually beats out Symphony #5 in classical station listener polls, and I've heard that it beat out #9 in a recent L.A.-area listener poll. It's a pleasant 35 minutes of listening, that's for sure. So who is this mystery composer? (My second guess would be Dvorák, but his Symphony #7 is a much lesser work than the two that followed it.)
A rant on the Jackson LotR films? I know they did not follow exactly the books, but certainly they were admirable for the "look and feel" they provided of Middle Earth, no?
