Yeah, I noticed that (and three of them were of East Asian descent, actually a lower percentage than in some of the student performance concerts), but I don't place too much significance in the demographics of a single seminar of five students. Many of the best living composers (Gubaidulina, Zwilich, Larsen, Higdon, Reynolds, Pavlova, and de Kenessey top my list) are women, so they're coming from somewhere.
