I offered it, but he said they're doing enough on the anniversary. Maybe I should send it in anyway and see if he's tempted. But, this piece being very personally interpretive, I'm shy of the rude and insulting comments I'd surely get from the anonymous peanut gallery. I didn't mind the letters to the editor era, but Web 2.0 is an unhealthy environment for writers, encouraging them to self-censor.
