The sensation of watching a movie that you'd found hilarious in 1973 but now discover is not very funny.

I only watch old movies from YouTube or the public library. New DVD releases I get from Redbox, $1.09 per including tax, and a film has to be mighty awful not to be worth that.

I was stupid enough to buy Xanadu on VCR (yes, I know it's not a comedy, but the idea applies). Can't believe how bad that movie is! The music was still good, though.
