I don't know what you were trying to translate, there doesn't seem to be any link, but I know much more about the word "abstruse" than I did before, which is nice. It was One of Those Words I had a general handle on, but the more I thought about it, the less I was happy with just that.

Also, your 1,2,3 bit for dealing with different characters en masse is v. clever. I do have "Mac Accent Codes" not just bookmarked, but on my toolbar, but to have to use several key combinations over and over would be tedious in a long document. Esp with the risk of confusing them. Le Sigh.
