Forgive me if this is excessively pedantic, but "biannual" is both not properly formed from the Latin roots, and ambiguous: I'm not sure if you mean "biennial," every two years (compare "centennial"), or "semiannual," twice a year. Webster's Collegiate Dictionary actually gives both meanings, which points up the ambiguity, I think.
