That must have been fun to watch! I discovered Steeleye Span and Fairport Convention in the 1990s, thanks to this radio program. I'd grown up listening to folk music; my father had a select few folk records (one Clancy Brothers album, one Pete Seeger record, and all of Simon & Garfunkel), and my parents made sure I owned a copy of Peter, Paul, and Mommy. But I'd honestly thought folk music had died out in the 1970s, because I never heard it on the radio after that. Then, then, then . . .
